"He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not," a Samuel Goldwyn Films release, is not rated Some material may not be suitable for children Angelique wreaks only havoc In French, with subtitles (See? Not a date film But underneath the sweet exterior lurks a darker, more complicated and dangerous soul We see the film rewinding through familiar scenes, back to its opening in that flower shop All ages admitted Two and a half stars out of four It's hard to describe much of the plot without giving away its secrets ) Tautou and her director both seem to enjoy taking her image from "Amelie" and turning it on its head " Think Glenn Close in "Fatal Attraction," set in Bordeaux We hardly ever see the two characters together, but we witness their secret relationship through Angelique's perspective, and through what she tells her friends Loic's wife is pregnant, we see, but soon suffers a miscarriage from a collision with a mo-ped Some material may be inappropriate for young children And if you liked the final twist of a movie like "The Sixth Sense," which the director says she had in mind when she created a film showing the same events from different points of view, then you should find yourself enjoying this romantic thriller quite a bit Amelie spent her days plotting to improve people's lives The palette changes, from Angelique's warm reds to Loic's chilly blues Review: 'He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not' Feb 13, 5:47 PM EST Many of us fell for Audrey Tautou in "Amelie," that sweet, cleverly whimsical film that showcased the French gamin with the pixyish bob Now, everything is different, beginning with the delivery of that single red rose This actress is no Glenn Close â€â€? no way can she look as scary as Close did, showing up in the misty bathroom mirror behind Anne Archer in "Fatal Attraction" â€â€? but in a way, her sweetness just adds to her character's eventual creepiness But others may not care about that at all Actually, "He Loves Me" is two movies This handsome doctor (Samuel Le Bihan) is married, but Angelique tells her friends that he's about to leave his wife and she just needs to be patient Scenes are repeated, but this time, it's the way they happened to Loic Suffice it to say that Colombani's subject here is erotomania â€â€? described by the filmmakers as a psychological disorder in which the afflicted relentlessly pursues the false notion that his or her romantic affections are reciprocated NC-17 â€â€? No one under 17 admitted "He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not" is not exactly a date film The first begins with the smiling Angelique surrounded by red roses in a flower shop R â€â€?
