Liza's recording career has not been a blockbuster (she's never had a pop-chart single despite 10 charting albums), but Lorna has only a few obscure recordings to her name Family feuds on the pop charts By Ken Barnes, USA TODAY Music insiders — and maybe even the Simpson family — were surprised when younger sis' Ashlee (20 in October) scored a bigger sales total in her debut album's first week than the more-famous Jessica, 24, had ever racked up Michael was the first to record solo (1971), followed by Jermaine, Jackie and Marlon In1970, younger brother Liv followed that same year and older brother Alex and sister Kate had albums out within a year Johnny is a distant third Dolly, Stella and Randy Parton Dolly recorded as early as 1957 (at 11) and hit the country charts 10 years later Stella, three years younger, sang with a gospel group and charted country for the first time in 1975 The Taylors: James, Livingston, Alex, Kate For a while, there seemed to be as many Taylors as Jacksons on the charts 1 debut Da Doo Ron Ron to David's one Younger brother Andy recorded in Australia in the mid-'70s, then hit the USA running in 1977 1 debut I Think I Love You 1's Loretta has the longevity (more than 60 solo hits in a 33-year span), but Crystal topped the 50 mark and had more No 1 singles, but Janet has almost caught up in both categories Michael hit the jackpot early and still leads, thanks to 46 pop hits and 13 Billboard No John Lennon's son Julian began his career in 1984, at 21;
