The Cat's Meow is a delicious story of old Hollywood socialites and screen actors. Guests arrive in all their splendor to spend a weekend of frivolous fun aboard the Oneida, millionaire William Randolph Hearst's private Yacht, to celebrate the birthday of Thomas Ince, a silent film producer. As the story unfolds we learn very few are onboard for reasons other than personal gain. Guests can be heard gossiping about the many illicit romances aboard the ship, as well as sneaking the occasional sip from their bootleg gin. Things seem to be going well until gunshots are heard. 14 Guests boarded the Oneida as it set sail…. only 13 will arrive back at the dock.
